As Lead Video Editor on the GitHub Films team, I shape the stories GitHub tells about the people building software, from developer and customer stories to product launches, event films, and social content. I guide our network of external editors from intake to final cut, built the team’s video content kit, and set the creative and technical bar for everything we ship. Along the way, I edited many of the channel’s all-time top performers, with individual videos reaching up to 2 million views, during a stretch when the YouTube audience more than doubled.

GitHub Universe 2025 | Keynote Anthem

ROLE: Video Editor, Finishing Editor, Post Supervisor

Created for the main stage at GitHub Universe 2025, this film closed the opening keynote presented by GitHub’s top leadership. Designed to send the audience out on a high, the piece captures the energy of the GitHub brand and the developers at its heart, screened for thousands of attendees in San Francisco and a global livestream audience.

Coding Accessibility Series

ROLE: Video Editor, Finishing Editor, Post Supervisor

GitHub’s Coding Accessibility series tells the stories of developers with disabilities using and creating technology to increase accessibility for all individuals. The documentary format provides an intimate look at the lives of developers as they face and overcome barriers in the software development space.

Becky

The first installment in the series follows the story of Becky Tyler, a talented young woman with quadriplegic cerebral palsy who uses eye-gaze technology to interact with her computer and execute commands. Her desire to play Minecraft using this technology leads her on a path to University of Dundee where she now studies Computer Science and works with fellow developers to improve the very technology she uses daily.

Anton

In this Coding Accessibility story, we meet Anton Mirhorodchenko, a Ukrainian software developer with cerebral palsy. He struggles with typing and mouse-clicking and finds that AI tools, including GitHub Copilot, drastically improve his speed and physical capabilities in front of the computer. This video explores Anton’s daily life and the strategies he employs to enable efficient coding.

Customer Stories Series

ROLE: Finishing Editor, Colorist, Post Supervisor, Social Editor

Another popular GitHub series I worked on focuses on Customer Stories – a play on the classic case study but in the style of a travelogue with a big injection of personality and humor. These pieces are designed to be as informative as they are delightful.
